This year winning photos will be placed in the TBAEP 2020 calendar which will be distributed at the 2019 FAEP conference hosted by TBAEP.  We will double the usual number of calendars for printing, which means that your logo will be viewed by twice as many Environmental Professionals throughout Florida!

This year the calendar sponsors are a little different since we're having the FAEP Conference instead of Falliday. See below to sponsor an ad in the 2020 Annual Calendar.

Start stocking up your best environmental and industry photos from Florida to submit to our annual photo contest. Profits go to our Rising Star Student Scholarship Endowment fund. We welcome you to participate in our annual photo contest to support TBAEP. 

General Rules

Contest Theme: Work and Play in Florida
We are seeking photographs that feature the local environment and nature as you work and play in Florida.  Show us how you embrace your love of the outdoors or showcase the industry in which you work.

*Please review this entire page for complete rules and samples of quality winning photos from the past three years prior to submitting. 
Members and non-members can submit. You must live or work in Citrus, Hardee, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas, and Polk Counties AND the photograph must have been taken in the State of Florida. 
Winners will be announced and showcased at the TBAEP August 21st luncheon.

The photographer must live or work in Citrus, Hardee, Hernando, Hillsborough,  Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas and Polk  Counties AND the photograph must have been taken in the State of Florida. 
Photos must be taken at a high enough resolution to print on large canvas. This means your photo should be a resolution of at least 3200 x 3200. The files size itself should be no more than 5 MB.

The deadline closes promptly at 5 PM on the date shown on this rules page. No entries will be accepted after that date and time. 
The photographer maintains ownership rights to the submitted images.  You grant TBAEP, however, the right to use images in perpetuity for marketing and other publications, including but not limited to social media, the TBAEP website, the FAEP website, emails, and newsletters.

Contest FAQ's

  1. What is the purpose of the photo contest?
    The contest is a fundraiser for the Rising Star Scholarship Fund We additionally hope to: Raise awareness of TBAEP within our community Engage with members and encourage new membership Generate a great set of photos to use on our website and in social media.
  2. Who can enter? 
    The contest is open to everyone (members and non‐members) who lives in the following counties: Citrus, Hardee, Hernando, Hillsborough, Manatee, Pasco, Pinellas and Polk
  3. How  much  does  it  cost  to  enter?
    $5 for initial entry fee for members ($10 for non-members). $5 for each additional photo. Enter up to five (5) photos.
  4. Where can photos be taken?
     Photos can be taken anywhere within the state of Florida. 
  5. When to submit?
    The contest submission period begins on May 1st and ends on June 1st.  The photos do not have to be taken during this time period.
  6. How many photos can I submit?
    Entrants may enter up to five (5) photos, but individuals may only place once in the winners circle. 
  7. Who Judges the Contest?
    Photographs will be judged by a panel of esteemed professionals including the Sponsor(s), a local professional photographer and an Environmental Professional from the TBAEP membership. 
  8. Why do I have to pay to enter?
    All profits for the photo contest go to TBAEP's Rising Star Scholarship to support local college students in the Environmental Field.
  9. What do I win?
    First, Second, and Third places, and the "Peoples Choice" Facebook Fan Favorite will have their photos enlarged on canvas and displayed in a traveling exhibit rotated around environmental venues. The top 12 photos are featured in the annual TBAEP calendar that is distributed free to members and sponsors at the FAEP 2019 Annual Conference and TBAEP special events.
  10. Where can I see the winning photos
    Past winning photos are in albums on our Facebook page. The mounted winners from each year are rotated between the EPC of Hillsborough County, SWFWMD, FWC, and SW FDEP.
